September 4, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Although they outhit their opponent 12-10, the Everett AquaSox narrowly fell to the Spokane Indians 7-6 in walk-off fashion at Avista Stadium on Friday night in front of 5,669 fans.
Everett took an early 2-0 lead, driving home their first runs of the game during the top of the first inning. Luis Suisbel and Matthew Ellis drilled consecutive doubles — Ellis being credited with an RBI on his — and Cesar Quintas added a sacrifice fly after Brandon Eike singled to place runners on the corners.
Making both his AquaSox and professional debut, Henry Kaczmar knocked an RBI single to extend the Frogs’ lead to 3-0 during the top of the second inning. The run-scoring knock accounted for the first hit and RBI of Kaczmar’s professional baseball career. Spokane found scoring ground for the first time in the bottom half of the frame, reducing their deficit to two runs as Kelvin Hidalgo singled after Tommy Hopfe doubled.
Quintas continued his hot streak in the third, roping a two-run double after Suisbel singled and Ellis walked. With the hit, Quintas raised his RBI total during the series to eight, collecting seven hits across four games played as well. The AquaSox again scored during the fourth, making their lead 6-1 as Luke Stevenson smashed a solo home run for his 21st long ball of the season.
AquaSox starting pitcher Colton Shaw departed after hurling 5.1 innings, allowing just one earned run while collecting four strikeouts. The Indians plated their second run following Shaw’s departure, albeit it was credited as an unearned run as Roldy Brito scored when Hidalgo reached on a fielding error.
Spokane sparked a late rally, bringing their deficit to just one run in the eighth inning. After Ethan Hedges drew a leadoff walk and Hopfe doubled, Alan Espinal hit a two-run triple to kickstart the inning’s scoring, and Hidalgo brought home the Indians’ fifth run by hitting into an RBI groundout.
Down to their final three outs, the Indians worked some magic to pull ahead for the victory. Jacob Hinderleider singled and Max Belyeu was hit by a pitch to place two runners on base with no outs, allowing Hedges to knock a game-tying RBI single. Delivering the walk-off blow during the next at-bat was Wilder Dalis, whose RBI single scored Belyeu to send Spokane’s fans home happy Friday night.
