August 15, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Hosting the second edition of Margaritaville Night at Everett Memorial Stadium, the Everett AquaSox got their four-game winning streak snapped by the Spokane Indians by falling 9-2 in front of 3,368 fans Saturday.
Spokane surged for four runs during the top of the third after each team’s starting pitcher dealt two scoreless frames to begin the game. Each contributing an RBI single were Roynier Hernandez, Wilder Dalis, and Kelvin Hidalgo, and the fourth run later scored as the AquaSox misplayed a ground ball hit by Alan Espinal. The score held until the top of the fifth when Clayton Gray smashed a solo home run for the Indians’ fifth run.
The Indians continued their scoring efforts in the top of the seventh, bringing home two more runs as Derek Bernard delivered a two-run double. Everett’s offense found some momentum in the bottom half of the frame, though, bringing in their first run. Ricardo Cova hit a leadoff double, later scoring as Matthew Ellis sliced an RBI single, and Luis Suisbel blooped a single into right field to place two runners on the basepaths with no outs. However, Indians pitching was able to escape the jam before further damage was done.
Each squad exchanged another run during the eighth inning, making the tally 8-2 in favor of the Indians. Alan Espinal provided an RBI single from Spokane’s side of things, and Korbyn Dickerson blasted an opposite-field solo home run to the Paine Field Home Run Porch for Everett. Dickerson’s long ball was his fifth of the season in High-A, raising his RBI total to 12.
Robert Calaz added a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning for the Indians, extending their lead to 9-2. The AquaSox went down scoreless in the bottom half of the frame, securing the Indians’ first victory amid the six-game Northwest League series.
