September 5, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Fueled by a trio of home runs, the Everett AquaSox defeated the Spokane Indians 6-4 at Avista Stadium on Saturday night.
Everett opened the scoring in the top of the first inning courtesy of Matthew Ellis, who hit into an RBI groundout after Luke Stevenson doubled and Luis Suisbel reached on a fielder’s choice. Furthering the lead to 2-0 during the third inning was Suisbel, who hit an RBI double after Stevenson walked.
The teams exchanged scoring blows during the fourth inning, making the score 3-1 in favor of the AquaSox. Anthony Donofrio belted a solo home run for his 11th long ball of the year, providing the Frogs their third run of the night, and Ethan Hedges smacked a solo home run of his own to get the Indians on the board.
Suisbel smashed a solo home run to lead off the top of the fifth, setting Everett ahead 4-1. However, Spokane battled back to make the game a one-run affair during the bottom part of the frame as Derek Bernard hit his first Indians home run. Bernard’s blast was a two-run shot, coming after Tanner Thach lined a leadoff single.
Stevenson demolished the Frogs’ third homer of the game to lead off the sixth, and Carter Dorighi hit an RBI single after both Brandon Eike and Cesar Quintas singled to set the Frogs ahead 6-3. The score held until the bottom of the eighth when the Indians plated their final run as Thach hit an RBI double after Wilder Dalis singled.
With their victory, the AquaSox improved to 4-1 during the six-game Northwest League series against the Indians.
