FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Keys, in conjunction with the Baltimore Orioles and Major League Baseball (MLB), are pleased to announce their 2027 schedule for the team’s second season in the South Atlantic League.
The 2027 campaign features 66 home games with plenty of family fun, exciting marquee matchups, and community celebrations as the Keys celebrate their second season back in Birdland as the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
About the South Atlantic League
This will be the second season the Keys will compete in MLB’s South Atlantic League, playing in the North Division. The South Atlantic League features two divisions with six teams in each division:
- North Division Teams: Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets), Greensboro Grasshoppers (Pittsburgh Pirates), the Hudson Valley Renegades (New York Yankees), the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (Philadelphia Phillies), the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Washington Nationals), and the Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles).
- South Division Teams: Asheville Tourists (Houston Astros), the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Tampa Bay Rays), the Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox), the Hub City Spartanburgers (Texas Rangers), the Rome Emperors (Atlanta Braves), and the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox).
The season is split into two halves: the first half begins on Friday, April 2, and end on Thursday, June 17; the second half starts on Friday, June 18, and ends on Sunday, September 5. The first half and second half champions from each division will advance to the South Atlantic League Divisional Round.

2027 Season Highlights
- Home Opener: The Frederick Keys open at home on Friday, April 2, against the Brooklyn Cyclones for the first game of a three-game series from April 2-4.
- Mother’s Day Game: For the second straight season, the Keys celebrate Mother’s Day at home against the Winston-Salem Dash on Sunday, May 9.
- Independence Day Celebration: Although the Keys will be on the road during Independence Day weekend, fans can celebrate America’s Birthday during a six-game homestand beginning Tuesday, June 22.
- New Teams Come to Nymeo Field: Frederick will host the Winston-Salem Dash (May 4-9) and the Greensboro Grasshoppers (August 17-22) for the first time since the return of affiliated baseball.
- Final Stretch: The Keys’ regular season wraps up at home with a six-game series against Brooklyn, August 31-September 5.
