
FRISCO, Texas (June 30, 2026) - Former Frisco RoughRiders INF/OF Cameron Cauley made his MLB debut with the Texas Rangers on Monday, June 29th in their game against the Cleveland Guardians. He is the fifth player in 2026 who will go on the Road to the Show wall, driven by Advondale Dealerships.
Cauley, 23, went 1-for-3 in his debut, including a seventh-inning triple for his first MLB hit. He drew a walk and scored two runs, including the go-ahead run in a 6-3 win.
The Houston, Tex. native played 113 games with the RoughRiders in his Double-A debut season in 2025. Cauley batted .253 and finished second on the team with 15 home runs, while smashing a team-high 26 doubles. He finished the year with a 4-for-5 performance, tallying two home runs, including a walk-off homer that closed the book on Frisco’s 2025 season.
This year, Cauley hit .262 with a .770 OPS across 74 games with Triple-A Round Rock. He hit 12 doubles and eight home runs for the Express, while stealing 29 bases without getting caught. Cauley was originally a third-round pick by Texas out of Barbers Hill High School in 2021.
With Cauley’s debut Monday, there have now been 230 players in RoughRiders franchise history to make the major leagues. Cauley joins Gavin Collyer, Peyton Gray, Robbie Ahlstrom and Mitch Bratt in 2026.
