WICHITA, Kansas (September 13, 2026) - In the 2026 regular season finale, the Frisco RoughRiders beat the Wichita Wind Surge 10-6 behind three team home runs and a four-hit game from Marcus Lee Sang Sunday afternoon at Equity Bank Park.

In the final game of its season, Wichita (31-38, 56-80) took the first lead, plating runs in each of the first two innings against Frisco (34-35, 73-64) starter Thomas Ireland.

Down 2-0 into the third, the Riders sparked up their offense in a massive way. Leading off the inning against Preston Johnson (1-4), Lee Sang launched a solo home run and was followed up by a Gleider Figuereo three-run bomb to make it 4-2. In his second at-bat of the inning, Lee Sang lined a single into left field to drive in two more runs.

With the score 6-4 into the seventh inning, Arturo Disla cracked a line drive home run onto the berm in left field to make it 7-4. Later in the frame, Lee Sang lofted a double into left-center field for two more RBI, as Frisco extended the lead to 9-4.

Though Wichita scored in the final five innings against RoughRider pitching and brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth, Paxton Kling robbed a would-be game-tying home run to lock down the 10-8 victory.

Notes to Know:

  • Frisco matched its 2025 record with the win, finishing the season with exactly 73 wins for the second straight season.
