SPRINGDALE, Arkansas (August 25, 2026) - In game one of their six-game series across state lines, the Frisco RoughRiders fell 12-4 to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Tuesday night at Arvest Ballpark.
Northwest Arkansas (22-30, 51-68) plated two in the first inning against Ben Anderson (2-6), but Frisco (25-27, 64-56) brought two across to tie the game 2-2 in the fourth on an Ian Moller RBI single. Augusto Mendieta (5-7) entered to slow down the rally.
After that, though, the Naturals scored nine runs between the fourth and sixth innings against Anderson and the Frisco bullpen, highlighted by a Daniel Vazquez three-run home run.
Frisco kept the offense alive with single runs in both the seventh and eighth innings, but could not overcome the wide deficit in the 12-4 defeat.
Notes to Know:
- Dylan Dreiling extended the Texas League’s longest hitting streak of the season to 17 games with a pair of singles.
- Yeison Morrobel had three hits and extended his hitting streak to seven games.
- Both Moller and Corey Joyce reached base three times with a single and two walks each.
Frisco turns its attention now to game two of the series Wednesday night, preparing to face RHP Felix Arronde (5-5, 5.63). The RoughRiders have not yet announced their starting pitcher for a 7:05 p.m. start at Riders Field.
