FRISCO, Texas (July 26, 2026) - In their Sunday series finale, the Frisco RoughRiders were shut out in a loss to the San Antonio Missions to settle for a series split at Nelson Wolff Stadium.
After Frisco (15-12, 54-41) and San Antonio (13-14, 44-52) went without a baserunner through the first two innings, the Missions stormed ahead in the third inning against Blake Townsend (3-5), building a 4-0 lead with a Jake Cunningham three-run triple.
The Riders were held scoreless over six innings by San Antonio starter Eric Yost (5-2) and the Missions added on to their lead in the eighth with a Braedon Karpathios two-run home run that made it 6-0.
Rafe Perich doubled in the ninth inning but was stranded at second to finish the game.
Notes to Know:
- Yeison Morrobel had two hits and now has a hit in each of his first eight games with the RoughRiders to start his Double-A career.
- D.J. McCarty tossed 2.2 innings out of the bullpen in his Double-A debut, surrendering just one run that score after he exited the game.
After a day off Monday, Frisco will return to action on Tuesday, July 27 and start a six-game series against the Corpus Christi Hooks at Riders Field.
