MIDLAND, Texas (August 9, 2026) - The Frisco RoughRiders fell to the Midland RockHounds on a Justin Riemer walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning on Sunday afternoon at Momentum Bank Ballpark.
Frisco (20-19, 59-48) jumped out in front first, scoring in the second inning on a Corey Joyce RBI single to make it 1-0.
Midland (19-20, 51-56) then tied the game at 1-1 with a Riemer RBI single in the bottom of the inning
In the fourth, the Riders grabbed the lead right back with a Keith Jones II RBI single and a Malcolm Moore RBI double padded their lead in the sixth.
The RockHounds tied the game with two runs in the seventh and sent the game into extra-innings, knotted at 3-3.
In the top of the 10th, Yeison Morrobel gave the RoughRiders the lead with an RBI single against Will Johnston (3-3), but a Bobby Boser sac fly tied the game in the bottom half before Riemer's walk-off single up the middle. Dustin Saenz (1-1) took the loss for the Riders.
Notes to Know:
- Blake Townsend threw 6,0 innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out four and walking three in his start. It was his fourth quality start of the season out of the RoughRiders' total of 11.
- The Riders lost the series 4-2, dropping their third series of the season and first since May 5th-9th against Northwest Arkansas.
- Both Jones and Rafe Perich collected two hits on the day,doubling and singling.
After a day off, the RoughRiders head home to begin a two-week homestand, starting at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11th against the San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres affiliate).
The series begins with Back to School Night presented by CoServ, 811 Day and Family Swim Tuesday presented by Emler Swim School.
