FRISCO, Texas (August 6, 2026) - The Frisco RoughRiders fell to the Midland RockHounds 4-0 from Momentum Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.
Frisco (19-17, 58-46) starter Dylan MacLean (7-3) allowed a first-inning run to the RockHounds (17-19, 49-55), but it was unearned after an error, to make it 1-0. It was the seventh time in the last nine games the Riders had allowed a run in the first inning.
That 1-0 score held until Luke Mann hit a solo home run to end MacLean's night in the sixth. MacLean threw 5.2 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, while striking out four and not walking a batter.
The RockHounds then scored twice with two RoughRiders errors and a pair of hits in the seventh to boost their lead to 4-0.
Nathan Dettmer (1-2) threw 6.1 shutout innings, striking out nine batters without a walk for Midland and Kenya Huggins locked down his third save with 2.2 frames out of the bullpen.
Notes to Know:
- Bryan Magdaleno threw 1.1 scoreless innings out of the Frisco bullpen.
- Arturo Disla singled and stole his first Double-A base in the first inning.
- The RoughRiders were shut out for the seventh time this year and the third time in their last 10 games.
The RoughRiders meet the RockHounds for game four of the series at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7th in Midland. RHP Aidan Curry (3-2, 5.13) goes for Frisco while Midland has not announced a starter.
