FRISCO, Texas (July 30, 2026) - After back-to-back wins to start the series, the Frisco RoughRiders fell 16-4 to the Corpus Christi Hooks Thursday night at Riders Field.
Corpus Christi (15-15, 46-53) scored once in the first against Dylan MacLean (7-2) and then Frisco (17-13, 56-42) tied it up instantly with an Arturo Disla broken-bat single.
A Walker Janek home run in the third gave Corpus Christi a 2-1 advantage and the Hooks would score nine times between the fifth and sixth innings, including a grand slam from Chase Call, and got a scoreless inning in relief from Railin Perez (4-4).
Janek homered again in the seventh, but the Riders blasted two big flies of their own before the night ended. Yeison Morrobel left the yard in the sixth and then Disla touched off a two-run shot in the seventh.
Notes to Know:
- Disla finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and his second home run in as many days.
- The RoughRiders have now hit nine home runs across the first three games of the series.
Looking for a bounce-back win Friday, Frisco sends RHP Aidan Curry (3-1, 5.51) to the mound against RHP Nolan Devos (2-0, 2.16) in a 7:05 p.m. start from Riders Field.
