SPRINGDALE, Arkansas (August 29, 2026) - Despite leading into the seventh inning, the Frisco RoughRiders fell for the second straight game against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, losing 8-7 on a walk-off wild pitch Saturday Night at Arvest Ballpark.
Northwest Arkansas (24-32, 53-70) climbed to the lead in the first inning against Aidan Curry, scoring three times against the right hander on four consecutive hits to start the game.
After being held without a run in the first three innings, Frisco (27-29, 66-58) roared to the scoreboard with a five-run fourth behind five straight hits against Grant Gambrell, including home runs from Marcus Lee Sang and Max Wagner.
Frisco carried its 5-3 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning, but Jonathan Brand surrendered a solo home run to Connor Scott and then Javier Vaz slashed a three-run double in the seventh to give the Naturals a 7-5 advantage.
Frisco tied the game on an eighth-inning wild pitch and ninth-inning passed ball, but Northwest Arkansas walked it off in the bottom of the ninth on a wild pitch of Janser Lara’s own.
Notes to Know:
- Lee Sang and Wagner extended their career highs in home runs with their 15th and 20th homers respectively.
- Dylan Dreiling extended his hitting streak to 20 games with two singles and Yeison Morrobel moved his streak to 10 games.
Down three games to two in the series, Frisco readies for the finale Sunday. Neither team has announced a starting pitcher for the 2:05 p.m. start.
