Drive to Celebrate Youth Sports Night at Fluor Field on May 12

Youth athletes invited to enjoy complimentary ticket, pregame parade, District 356 street party, and more

The Greenville Drive will celebrate the next generation of athletes on Tuesday, May 12, as Fluor Field hosts the 4th annual Youth Sports Night, presented by Waldrop Plumbing, Air, & Electric.

The night will spotlight youth athletes from across the Upstate with a full evening of family fun, community celebration, and Drive baseball as Greenville takes on the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Gates open at 5:45 p.m., with first pitch set for 6:45 p.m.

As part of Youth Sports Night, each youth athlete can receive a complimentary ticket to the game and will have the opportunity to walk in the Burger King Parade of Champions before first pitch. The parade begins at 6:20 p.m. on District 356, giving athletes the chance to walk the warning track at Fluor Field and be recognized in front of the crowd.

The celebration begins early with a Pregame Street Party on District 356, presented by the YMCA of Greenville, starting at 5 p.m. Fans can enjoy inflatable games, face painting, balloon art, magic, games, activities, and information on YMCA programs, summer camp options, sports teams, and more.

Youth athletes are encouraged to wear their team jersey or uniform to the ballpark. Those who do will receive a 15% discount off any one item at the Drive Team Store, with new brands, new looks, and collectibles available at the team’s gameday store locations.

The Drive will also recognize youth teams and athletes throughout the evening. Teams that have won championships, reached state tournaments, or achieved notable milestones are encouraged to share their stories for potential in-game recognition.
