Homestand Highlights: “Crayola® Night” and “Hometown Heroes Night” Headline Late-Summer Homestand

Stripers set to host Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in six-game series from August 4-9

LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia – The Gwinnett Stripers are looking ahead to school days and honoring those who serve our community as they host a six-game homestand at Gwinnett Field from August 4-9. That week, the Stripers will host both Crayola® Night (August 7) for back-to-school and Hometown Heroes Night, presented by COUNTRY Financial (August 8) as they take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins).

The week also includes Throwback Thursday, 2020s Meme Might (August 6), Fireworks Friday, presented by Akins Ford (August 7), and a Chris Sale Bobblehead Giveaway, presented by Akins Ford (August 8),

Tuesday, August 4 vs. Jacksonville (6:35 p.m.)

Gates Open: 5:30 p.m,

  • 5-4-3 Tuesday, presented by Sahlen’s Hot Dogs: Come out to the ballpark every Tuesday for $5 off select tickets, $5 domestic beers & souvenir sodas, $4 large popcorn & nachos, and $3 Sahlen's hot dogs.
  • United States Coast Guard Birthday Celebration, presented by United States Coast Guard: The Stripers will be celebrating the 236th anniversary of the Coast Guard!   • Wet Nose Wednesday: Free admission for dogs with a paid owner! All dogs and owners will be seated on the first base side of Gwinnett Field.

Thursday, August 6 vs. Jacksonville (7:05 p.m.)

Gates Open: 6:00 p.m.

  • Throwback Thursday: We’re throwing back the prices (and the theme) with $2 Sahlen’s hot dogs and $3 domestic beers.
  • 2020s Meme Night: Come enjoy a night of Stripers baseball while indulging in some of the best internet memes of the 2020s.

Friday, August 7 vs. Jacksonville (7:05 p.m.)

Gates Open: 6:00 p.m

  • Crayola® Night: With crayon-inspired specialty jerseys and activities around the concourse, this colorful theme night is the perfect way to kick off the back-to-school season. One lucky teacher will win a Crayola® Back-to-School Gift Basket.
  • Stripers Lunch Box Giveaway: Bring your Stripers fandom to school with this one-of-a-kind lunch box! It goes out to the first 500 kids (age 12 and under).
  • Crayola® Specialty Jersey Auction: Stripers' players and coaches will wear specialty Crayola® jerseys for the game. Autographed, game-worn jerseys will be available at GoStripers.com during and after the game, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Art in Motion, an organization whose goal is to cultivate creativity and innovation in youth through art education.
  • Fireworks Friday, presented by Akins Ford: A spectacular fireworks display lights up the sky after the game (weather permitting).

Saturday, August 8 vs. Jacksonville (6:05 p.m.)

Gates Open: 5:00 p.m.   

  • Hometown Heroes Night, presented by COUNTRY Financial: The Stripers honor the police officers, fire fighters, EMTs, and other first responders who serve our community every day.
  • Chris Sale Bobblehead Giveaway, presented by Akins Ford (first 2,000 fans): Collect this one-of-a-kind bobblehead of 2024 National League Cy Young winner Chris Sale, clad in a Stripers jersey as seen during his 2025 rehab assignment.

Sunday, August 9 vs. Jacksonville (4:05 p.m.)

Gates Open: 3:00 p.m.

  • Sunday Funday, presented by COUNTRY Financial: Kick the afternoon off with Pre-Game Catch on the Field, and end it with Kids Run the Bases (both weather permitting). It’s fun for the family all day long!
