LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia – The Gwinnett Stripers are celebrating their favorite groundhog and raising awareness for breast cancer as they return home to Gwinnett Field from August 18-23. That week, the Stripers will host both Pink in the Park (August 21) for back-to-school and Chopper's Birthday (August 22) as they take on the Durham Bulls (Triple-A, Tampa Bay Rays) for a six-game series.
The week also includes Throwback Thursday, 1920s night (August 20), Fireworks Friday, presented by Akins Ford (August 21), and a Chopper Building Block Giveaway, presented by Eagle Christian Tours (August 22).

Tuesday, August 18 vs. Durham (6:35 p.m.)
Gates Open: 5:30 p.m,
- 5-4-3 Tuesday, presented by Sahlen’s Hot Dogs: Come out to the ballpark every Tuesday for $5 off select tickets, $5 domestic beers & souvenir sodas, $4 large popcorn & nachos, and $3 Sahlen's hot dogs.
Wednesday, August 19 vs. Durham (6:35 p.m.)
Gates Open: 5:30 p.m.
- Wet Nose Wednesday: Free admission for dogs with a paid owner! All dogs and owners will be seated on the first base side of Gwinnett Field.
Thursday, August 20 vs. Durham (7:05 p.m.)
Gates Open: 6:00 p.m.
- Throwback Thursday: We’re throwing back the prices (and the theme) with $2 Sahlen’s hot dogs and $3 domestic beers.
- 1920s Night: We're throwing it alllll the way back to the Roaring 20s with jazz-era vibes, vintage flair, and a night of timeless fun.
Friday, August 21 vs. Durham (7:05 p.m.)
Gates Open: 6:00 p.m
- Pink in the Park, presented by Northside Hospital: The Stripers and Northside Hospital are teaming up to raise awareness for those in our community affected by breast cancer.
- Pink in the Park Specialty Jersey Auction: Stripers' players and coaches will don a specialty jersey to coincide with Pink in the Park. Autographed, game-worn jerseys will be available at GoStripers.com during and after the game, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Gwinnett Hospital System Foundation.
- Fireworks Friday, presented by Akins Ford: A spectacular fireworks display lights up the sky after the game (weather permitting).
Saturday, August 22 vs. Durham (6:05 p.m.)
Gates Open: 5:00 p.m.
- Chopper's Birthday: Chopper is turning 18 this year, and YOU are invited to the party! Join Chopper and his closest mascot friends for the most memorable birthday bash yet!
- Chopper Building Block Giveaway, presented by Eagle Christian Tours: The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive their very own building block set of the birthday boy himself, Chopper.
Sunday, August 23 vs. Durham (1:05 p.m.)
Gates Open: 12:00 p.m.
- Sunday Funday, presented by COUNTRY Financial: Kick the afternoon off with Pre-Game Catch on the Field, and end it with Kids Run the Bases (both weather permitting). It’s fun for the family all day long!
