HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 4, 2026) — Five Senators pitchers combined to shut out the Curve 2-0 Friday night. The series is now even at two games apiece.
The win marks Harrisburg's 10th shutout of the season.
RHP Yoel Tejeda Jr. put together his best start in Double-A. In five innings, he allowed just one hit and one walk on eight strikeouts.
Tejeda retired eight in a row to finish his outing.
Altoona's RHP Peyton Stumbo matched Tejeda with five scoreless innings of his own. He stranded the bases loaded in each the third and fourth innings.
RHP Jhancarlos Lara (W, 2-2) was the first in relief and worked around a one-out single with two strikeouts for a scoreless sixth.
In the bottom of the sixth, Sam Brown came to the plate with one on and one out. He golfed a curveball into the Curve's bullpen in rightfield for a two-run homer, and the Sens took a 2-0 lead.
RHP Kendeglys Virguez pitched a scoreless seventh stranding two on base.
RHP Robert Cranz allowed two hits but tossed a scoreless eighth.
RHP Holden Powell (S, 8) retired the side in order in the ninth, striking out the last hitter to end the game.
In all, Harrisburg pitching struck out 13 Altoona batters and walked only two.
The Senators look to carry the momentum into Saturday night. LHP Alex Clemmey is set to deliver first pitch at 6:00 p.m.
