HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 5, 2026) — The Curve jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning Saturday, but the Senators controlled the rest of the game to go on to an 8-5 win. Harrisburg has clinched the season series with Altoona.
Easton Carmichael hit a three-run homer off LHP Alex Clemmey (W, 5-6) in the first inning to give the Curve a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the inning, after Devin Fitz-Gerald and Branden Boissiere drew one-out walks, Elijah Green doubled off the rightfield fence to score Fitz-Gerald.
An RBI groundout from Sam Brown brought in Boissiere. Then Kevin Bazzell doubled to drive in Green and tie the game 3-3.
In the second, three straight two-out singles from Nick Mitchell, Fitz-Gerald and Boissiere put the Sens in front 4-3.
Meanwhile, Clemmey settled in for four scoreless frames after the trouble in the first. In all, the left-hander allowed three runs in five innings on five hits, two walks and six strikeouts.
RHP Josiah Gray tossed a one-two-three sixth inning in his second rehab appearance with Harrisburg this series.
In the bottom of the sixth, Brown and TJ White each launched solo homers to stretch the lead to 6-3.
Brown has homered in back-to-back games.
Altoona got two runs back in the seventh on Keiner Delgado's two-RBI single to cut the Sens' lead to 6-5.
But Harrisburg got the runs back in the next half inning. Mitchell drew a walk and Fitz-Gerald doubled to lead off. Then Boissiere doubled them both in to lead 8-5.
RHP Luke Young worked around two walks for a scoreless eighth.
RHP Sandy Gaston (S, 3) locked down the win with a scoreless ninth. He struck out one.
The Senators vie for the series win Sunday at 1:00 p.m. RHP Jarlin Susana (0-0) is scheduled to start the home finale.
