Hillsboro, Ore. (September 18, 2026) – A new chapter in Hillsboro’s entertainment scene will officially begin a week from today, September 25 when legendary rock band Chicago takes the stage at Hops Ballpark for An Evening with Chicago, the first concert at the newly opened ballpark.
Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades. With record sales surpassing 100 million worldwide, their success includes 21 Top 10 singles, 11 songs that reached No. 1 and five consecutive No. 1 albums. In addition, they have earned five gold-certified singles, cementing their place as one of the best-selling and most influential bands in rock history.
“One of our biggest goals in creating this venue was to have the best outdoor concert experience in the Pacific Northwest,” said Hops President & GM K.L. Wombacher. “We’ve been working hard to bring this concert venue to life and we’re incredibly excited to debut it next week with the legendary band Chicago.”
In their 59th consecutive year on tour, Chicago will make a stop at the new Hops Ballpark for the first concert in venue history. Chicago will perform two one-hour sets, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to review the following important venue information before arriving:
Parking and venue entry are expected to be busy. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, carpool when possible or use rideshare services. Concert parking is card only and is $15 per vehicle or $75 per bus/RV.
Fans should allow additional time to park, pass through security and make their way into the ballpark.
Digital tickets are required and to help expedite entry, guests should access their tickets through the MiLB App or MiLB website before arriving and save them to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
