Greenville, S.C. (Aug. 7, 2026) – The Hudson Valley Renegades blasted their way to a 9-3 win over the Greenville Drive on Friday Night at Fluor Field.
Renegades pitchers stranded 17 Drive runners on base, including stranding the bases loaded twice and leaving multiple runners on base in six innings. Hudson Valley held Greenville to 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position in the game.
Greenville took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, but Hudson Valley responded by scoring the next nine runs before the Drive plated two in the bottom of the ninth.
The Renegades hit two home runs in the game, the first time since 7/25 at Wilmington that the Renegades went deep twice in a game, a span of 10 games.
Friday night was the sixth win for the Renegades this season when they were outhit by their opponents. Hudson Valley was outhit 13-9 in the game.
The Renegades hit two triples on Friday and have clubbed four three-baggers in their last three games.
Hudson Valley stole four bases on Friday and has 17 steals in the first four games of the series with the Drive. The Renegades have stolen 197 bases on the season, the second-most in a single-season in team history (2023) and are stealing 1.89 bases per game.
The Renegades improve to 14-10 all-time in the regular season against the Drive, and 8-5 at Fluor Field. Hudson Valley is averaging 8.1 runs per game all-time at Fluor Field.
LHP Pico Kohn (2.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 0 K) allowed an unearned run across 2.2 innings in his second start of the season. Kohn started for the Renegades on Opening Night but was placed on the Injured List a few days after and was activated earlier this week.
The third walk allowed by Kohn was charged to him after he departed an at-bat with Isaiah Jackson with the count at 3-0 and Brandon Decker finished the walk.
C Eric Genther (1-for-2, 2 R, HR, RBI, 3 BB) extended his on-base streak to six straight games by reaching four times. He has drawn eight walks and has five hits during the streak, good for a .419 OBP.
Since 6/20, Genther is slashing .339/.464/.542 with a 1.006 OPS, 23 R, 9 2B, 5 HR, 24 RBI, 21 BB, 23 K, and 2-for-3 SB.
Genther’s 11 home runs are the most hit by a Hudson Valley catcher since Omar Martinez hit 13 in 2024.
SS Core Jackson (1-for-4, R, BB, 2 SB) scored the first Renegades run of the game in the fourth inning and stole two bases.
Jackson has 32 steals on the season, tied for fourth-most in a single season in Renegades history (Aldenis Sanchez, 2022). Jackson is three steals shy of tying the single season record of 35 set by Cooper Bowman (2022) and Spencer Jones (2023).
Jackson is also tied for the team lead with 56 runs scored with Kyle West.
CF Maika Niu (1-for-3, 3 RBI, K) hit a sacrifice fly to give Hudson Valley a 2-1 lead in his first professional game.
Niu picked up his first professional hit with a two-run single in the eighth inning.
DH Jackson Lovich (0-for-5, 3 K) failed to get a hit for the first time as a Renegade.
Lovich saw his nine-game hitting streak come to an end.
3B Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek (1-for-5, 3B, R, K) had a hit in his third straight game. He has hits in all but one game played with the Renegades.
LF Dean Toigo (2-for-4, 2 R, 3B, RBI, BB, 2 K) ripped his first extra-base hit of his professional career and picked up his first multi-hit game.
Toigo has hits in both of his first two professional games.
RF Camden Troyer (1-for-4, HR, R, RBI, K) grabbed his first hit in seven days.
Troyer is one home run away from becoming the sixth Renegade this year with 10+ homers.
The five with 10+ are Kyle West (18), Josh Moylan (13), Core Jackson (12), Roderick Arias (12), and Eric Genther (11).
2B Enmanuel Tejeda (1-for-3, R, RBI, BB, K) grabbed his first RBI since 7/25 at Wilmington.
RHP Brandon Decker (1.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K) has thrown four straight scoreless appearances.
Decker has not allowed a run to score in five of his last six outings.
RHP Hansel Rincon (2.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K) has not allowed an earned run in his last eight outings.
This was Rincon’s longest outing of the season and just his third of 2.0-or-more innings.
RHP Andrew Landry (1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K) has not allowed an earned run in seven of his last eight outings.
