
Wappingers Falls, N.Y. – The Hudson Valley Renegades walked off the Wilmington Blue Rocks for a second time this series, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the ninth and winning 8-5 on Saturday evening at Heritage Financial Park.
Wilmington led 5-0 going into the bottom of the eighth inning. The Renegades then scored one in the eighth and seven in the ninth to win late, blasting four home runs across the last two innings of the game.
The Renegades hit three home runs in the bottom of the ninth, the first time they have hit three home runs in an inning this season. Their last three-homer inning came on 6/20/25 at Jersey Shore.
Saturday marks the eighth walk-off win of the season for the Renegades. It’s the third time since the Renegades became an affiliate of the New York Yankees that they’ve had eight-or-more walk-off wins (2021, ’24).
The Renegades have scored four-or-more runs in an inning in the final two innings three times this series. It’s resulted in two wins and one loss by one run.
Hudson Valley got four hits in the ninth, three of which were homers. The other hit was a two-run double.
The Renegades had just six base runners through seven innings. Five of those got hits, the other was walked.
Wilmington had two home runs for a second game in a row.

SS Jackson Lovich (2-for-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R, 2 K) ripped his first two homers of the year in High-A, including the walk-off home run for the Renegades in the bottom of the ninth, a two-run homer off former Renegades pitcher Baron Stuart.
Lovich grabbed 18 singles in 14 games played before getting his first extra-base hit with the Renegades on Saturday evening.
Lovich led the Florida State League in home runs with 18 before being promoted to High-A.
C Eric Genther (0-for-4, R, IBB) is the first Renegade this year to be intentionally walked.
Genther has gotten on base in all but one game played this series against Wilmington.
CF Maika Niu (3-for-4, HR, R, RBI, SB) grabbed his third home run in just his eighth professional game played.
All of Niu’s homers have come in the ninth inning or later.

LF Robbie Burnett (0-for-3, BB, 2 K) extended his on-base streak to 10 games.
Burnett is slashing .212/.381/.364 across it with 2 2B, HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, 9 BB, 15 K, and 3-for-3 SB over the streak.
1B Kyle West (2-for-4, 2B, K) grabbed his first multi-hit performance since 8/8 at Greenville.
West grabbed his 24th multi-hit performance of the year.
RF Willy Montero (1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K) grabbed his second extra-base hit of the season with the Renegades.
Montero has RBIs in two of his last three games.
RHP Thomas Balboni Jr. (1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K) has not allowed a run to score across his last 3.2 IP, all of which are against Wilmington.
RHP Brandon Decker (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K) picked up the win after tossing a scoreless ninth inning. It was his third win in the Renegades’ last eight games.
Decker leads the team in wins (7) and ranks tied for fourth in the SAL in wins.
Decker has tied Sebastian Keane (2025) for the most wins in a single season by a Renegades relief pitcher.
