
Wappingers Falls, NY – The Hudson Valley Renegades powered their way to an 11-3 victory over the Jersey Shore BlueClaws on Friday night at Heritage Financial Park.
The BlueClaws scored first for a second straight game, leading 2-0 heading to the bottom of the third. However, the Renegades scored four in the bottom of the third to take the lead, and they never relinquished it.
With one home run on Friday, the Renegades have hit 28 home runs in their last 16 games, 46.8% of their season total of 60 home runs. Hudson Valley has hit two-or-more home runs in a game five times in its last eight games.
Every Renegade batter got on base, and all but one got a hit in Friday night’s win. Six different Renegades grabbed an extra-base hit.
Jersey Shore never scored more than one run in an inning, and it only got multiple hits in three innings.
Hudson Valley struck out 11 Jersey Shore batters on Friday night. The Renegades have struck out 40 BlueClaws through four games.
The Renegades’ bullpen allowed just one hit and zero runs. They did walk four, but they stranded six BlueClaws on the bases.

RHP Rory Fox (6.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) struck out six batters and allowed only one walk across 6.0 innings and picked up his third win of the season.
It was Fox’s fewest runs allowed in a start since his complete game shutout on 5/21 at Brooklyn (G2) (three starts).
Fox allowed a home run, marking the eighth time in 10 games this season that he has allowed a homer.
It was the second time this season that Fox has thrown a quality start (at least 6.0 IP, fewer than 3 ER), and his third start completing at least 6.0 innings.
Fox became the third Renegades starter in the series with Jersey Shore to throw 6.0 innings, joining Bryce Cunningham (Tuesday, 6/9) and Luis Serna (Wednesday, 6/10). The Renegades won all three games.
