Wappingers Falls, N.Y. (Sept. 15, 2026) – The New York Yankees and the Arizona Fall League today announced that five members of the 2026 Hudson Valley Renegades and once coach have been selected to participate in the 2026 Arizona Fall League.
The five players from this year’s squad include RHP Chris Veach, LHP Tanner Bauman, INF Core Jackson, INF Kyle West, and INF Kaeden Kent. Additionally, Hitting Coach Scott Nestor will serve as a hitting coach. Veach, Jackson, West and Nestor will suit up for the Salt River Rafters, while Bauman, who is now in the Atlanta Braves system, will play for the Glendale Desert Dogs and Kent will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions after being traded to the San Francisco Giants in August. OF Dillon Lewis, a member of the 2025 Renegades and now playing in the Miami Marlins organization, will also play for Glendale.
Veach, 24, split the season between the Renegades and Double-A Somerset Patriots and went 3-2 with 3 SV and a 1.86 ERA (29.0 IP, 14 H, 8 R, 6 ER, 10 BB, 39 K) in 25 appearances. He began the season with 11 consecutive scoreless appearances with the Renegades, posting a 0.63 ERA before earning his promotion to Double-A. Veach was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Yankees on Aug. 4, 2024 out of the University of South Carolina.
Bauman, 24, began the season with the Renegades, appearing in 24 games and going 2-0 with 2 SV and a 4.62 ERA (25.1 IP, 26 H, 13 R, 13 ER, 15 BB, 31 K). He was released by the Yankees on Aug. 3 and was signed by the Atlanta Braves on Aug. 7, finishing the season with the Rome Emperors in the South Atlantic League after appearing in one game with the York Revolution of the Atlantic League. Bauman was originally drafted by the Yankees in the ninth round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University.
Jackson, 22, split the season between the Renegades and Double-A Somerset, combining to hit .262/.360/.459 (101-for-386), with 73 R, 22 doubles, 6 triples, 14 HR, 62 RBI, 53 BB, 86 K and 41 SB in 101 games. Jackson is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the #12 prospect in the Yankees organization. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft by the Yankees out of the University of Utah.
West, 23, spent the entire season with the Renegades, batting .226/.300/.394 (109-for-482) with 68 R, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 20 HR, 75 RBI, 46 BB, 160 K and 20 SB in 124 games. West led the team in hits, runs, home runs, and RBI, and became the first player in Renegades history with 20 HR and 20 SB in a single season. He finished second all-time in franchise history for single-season RBIs and third in HR. West was drafted by the Yankees in the 13th round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft out of West Virginia University.
Kent, 22, began the season with the Renegades, batting .302/.359/.433 (97-for-321) with 55 R, 20 doubles, 2 triples, 6 HR, 43 RBI, 29 BB, 57 K and 20 SB) in 76 games before being traded to the San Francisco Giants along with LHP Henry Lalane on August 3 for OF Heliot Ramos. He was on the injured list at the time and was activated in late August, playing n 10 games for the High-A Eugene Emeralds. Kent, son of Baseball Hall of Famer Jeff Kent, was originally drafted by the Yankees in the third round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.
Lewis, 23, was a standout performer on the 2025 Renegades, batting .228/.320/.426 (66-for-289) with 39 R, 12 doubles, 3 triples, 13 HR, 50 RBI, 36 BB, 69 BB, and 13 SB in 76 games, leading the team in both HR and RBI. After being traded to Miami on January 13 along with OF Brendan Jones, INF Dylan Jasso and INF Juan Matheus in exchange for LHP Ryan Weathers, Lewis spent the 2026 season with the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos, batting .242/.302/.460 (82-for-339) with 43 R, 12 doubles, 4 triples, 18 HR, 48 RBI, 28 BB, 111 K and 20 SB in 89 games. Lewis was originally drafted by the Yankees in the 13th round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of Queens (NC) University.
Nestor finished his third season as a hitting coach in the Yankees organization and his first with Hudson Valley in 2026. He oversaw one of the most-productive Renegades offenses in team history, with the team setting a new team record for runs scored (675), posting the second-highest team OBP (.347), and OPS (.753), and tying for the second-most HR in a single-season in team history (133) while finishing top five in numerous other categories.
Additionally, RHP Mack Estrada, RHP J.T. Etheridge, and INF Dax Kilby from the Yankees organization will also play for Salt River. ATC Hannah Davis from the Yankees organization will serve as one of the trainers for Salt River. For more information on the 2026 Arizona Fall League, click here.
