INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Indians return to Victory Field this week to finish the second half of a 12-game homestand with a six-game series beginning Tuesday at 6:35 PM against the Columbus Clippers.
Indy heads into this week after splitting last week’s series at Victory Field against the Louisville Bats. The Indians begin this week’s series tied for first place with Rochester (Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals) in the second half standings in the International League with a 31-20 record. If Indy remains in first place at the end of the second half of the regular season, which concludes on Sunday, Sept. 20, it will play at the first-half winner (Memphis Redbirds) for a best-of-three League Championship Series beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The winners of each LCS will advance to the Triple-A National Championship Game for a single-elimination contest to crown the club atop the highest level of the minors. Memphis (IL, 47-28) and Las Vegas (Pacific Coast League, 44-29) were the first-half winners.
The Columbus Clippers come to Indy after splitting a home series with St. Paul last week. The Clippers enter the week in the middle of the pack in the International League second half standings at 25-24.
Fans in attendance will experience the rescheduled Native American Heritage Night, following May's rainout, featuring educational videoboard segments, an exhibit with Miami Nation artifacts, a ceremonial first pitch by Miami Nation Drum Carrier, Shane Fox, and an in-game broadcast interview with Tribal Secretary, Sarah Bitzel, and Tribal Council Member, Carl Lavoncher. To further promote cultural education, the team is offering additional informational opportunities to learn about Eastern Woodlands tribes, alongside a new five-part video series documenting the organization’s partnership with the Miami Nation of Indiana.
On Thursday, Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs for fans in the Center Field Plaza. Sunday will conclude with family-friendly entertainment highlighted by Bluey and Bingo as part of Sunday Characters, presented by Ivy Tech Community College.
This week’s Hot Dog of the Homestand, presented by Eisenberg, will be ‘The Heeler Dog’, inspired by Bluey, a kid-friendly dog with mac & cheese and goldfish available at the grill carts near Sections 105 and 120.

Native American Heritage Night, in partnership with Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana: On top of the educational experiences, the game will feature a pregame land acknowledgment read by Indians Chairman of the Board Bruce Schumacher, alongside in-game recognitions for Miami Nation and all military veterans. The Indiana National Guard will play a major role by performing a pregame band set in the Center Field Plaza, presenting the national anthem and sponsoring the postgame fireworks. This continued collaboration builds upon the inaugural event, where retired Major General R. Dale Lyles honored the Miami Nation's enduring support of the National Guard.
Scout Night: Scouts and their families are invited to receive a commemorative patch and the opportunity to camp overnight on the field with their troop. A portion of the proceeds from tickets purchased benefit Scouting America.
