
Cubs’ pitcher Justin Steele made his first appearance on Major League rehab assignment since April of 2025 as the Iowa Cubs (56-75) fell to the Columbus Clippers (71-60) by a 6-2 score tonight at Huntington Park.
Steele made the start and worked 1.2 innings and allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits with two strikeouts.
The I-Cubs opened up the scoring in the second inning as Austin Wynns hit a sacrifice fly and Ethan Hearn doubled home a run to make it 2-0.
Columbus went on to score six unanswered runs to pick up the win.
