(Las Vegas, NV) – August 31, 2026 – The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League, Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics and ’25 PCL Champions, today announced by Minor League Baseball that outfielder Brayan Buelvas (Bwell-VAAS) was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week (August 24-30). Buelvas is the fourth Aviators player to receive PCL Player of the Week honors in 2026! He joins outfielder Henry Bolte (May 4-10), outfielder Cade Marlowe (May 18-24) and infielder Joey Meneses (meh-NEH-sees, June 15-21).

The outfielder appeared in six games against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at Las Vegas Ballpark® (August 25-30) and batted .391 (9-for-23) with three doubles, two home runs, 7 RBI, five walks, two stolen bases and seven runs scored. He hit safely in all six games, including two multiple-hit games: 2-for-4, double, walk, stolen base (August 25); 1-for-3, two walks, run scored (August 26); 3-for-4, double, walk, stolen base, home run, 3 RBI (August 27); 1-for-4, double, walk, run scored (August 28); 1-for-4 (August 29); 1-for-4, three-run home run (August 30). He helped lead the Aviators to a 4-2 homestand.

Buelvas began the season with Double-A Midland of the Texas League and appeared in 13 games and batted .282 (11-for-39) with two doubles, one triple, three home runs and 7 RBI. He was then promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas on May 15. He has appeared in 84 games for the Aviators and is batting .280 (83-for-296) with 39 extra-base hits (20 doubles, four triples, 15 home runs) and 57 RBI. He has recorded 24 multiple-hit games (18 two-hit games; 6 three-hit games) and has hit safely in 52 of 84 games.

He has played professionally for seven seasons in the Athletics organizations. He was signed as a minor league free agent on July 3, 2018. In 2025, he appeared in 70 games for Double-A Midland and recorded 18 multiple-hit games (13 doubles, five home runs), 26 RBI and six stolen bases.

The Aviators, 75-55 (.577) best overall record in PCL and 31-26 in the second half, will embark on a road trip to El Paso, Texas to face the Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, in a six-game series, from Tuesday-Sunday, September 1-6 at Southwest University Park.
