
Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 13, 2026) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (20-22, 55-62) three-game winning streak came to a close in a 5-1 loss to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (25-15, 62-52) on Thursday night at Coca-Cola Park.
Scranton started the scoring in the fourth with a Tyler Hardman two-run homer before doubling their lead in the fifth on a J.C. Escarra two-run single. Theys cored for a third straight inning in the sixth when Anthony Volpe doubled home a run to make it 5-0.
After loading the bases to begin the eighth, the ‘Pigs scratched out their lone run on a Payton Henry RBI fielder’s choice.
Elmer Rodriguez (W, 8-3) stymied the ‘Pigs for seven scoreless innings to earn the win for the RailRiders while Tucker Davidson (L, 6-5) took the loss for the ‘Pigs, allowing four runs in 2.2 innings of work.
The ‘Pigs and RailRiders continue their series on Friday, August 14th with first pitch set for 6:45 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park. The ‘Pigs starter is Brian Keller while Adam Kloffenstein goes for SWB.
