‘Pigs Bested by Bisons on Wednesday Night

Génesis Cabrera spins 2.1 no-hit innings in relief

Allentown, Pennsylvania (May 6, 2026) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (18-17) fell behind early and could not recover as they were dropped by the Buffalo Bisons (16-19) by a final of 11-1 on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Park.

Buffalo was off and running quickly, getting three straight hits to open the game, firing the opening salvo on an Jonatan Clase RBI single before RJ Schreck followed up with an RBI single to make it 2-0 in the first inning.

The Bisons poured on four more in the second. After plating a run on a throwing error, Charles McAdoo ripped an RBI double and Schreck did him one better with a two-run double to make it 6-0. Another four-run inning following in the fifth as Schreck pounded his second two-run double and a two-run error made it 10-0.

Paul McIntosh got the ‘Pigs on the board in the sixth with a bases loaded walk to force in a run while Buffalo added one more in the ninth on a Rafael Lantigua RBI double.

Michael Plassmeyer (3-0) got the win for the Bisons, allowing one run in 1.2 innings of relief.

Chuck King (1-1) took the loss for the ‘Pigs, allowing six runs over two frames on seven hits and three walks, striking out three.

The ‘Pigs and Bisons continue their series on Thursday, May 7th. First pitch is slated for 6:45 p.m. as Jean Cabrera gets the ball for the ‘Pigs against Grant Rodgers for the Bisons.
