**Worcester, Massachusetts (August 6, 2026)**–Colby Thomas drove in a run with a base hit in his Lehigh Valley IronPigs (17-18, 52-58) debut, but a late Worcester Red Sox (22-13, 58-48) was too much in a 10-4 loss on Thursday afternoon at Polar Park.

Scoreless thru the first two frames, Thomas collected his first ‘Pigs hit and RBI with a base hit scoring Dylan Moore in the third. The WooSox equalized in the bottom half on a Tsung-Che Cheng safety squeeze.

A Kristian Campbell RBI double put the WooSox ahead in the fourth, but the ‘Pigs hit right back with a Dylan Moore RBI single to square things again in the fifth.

In the last of the sixth, the WooSox took the lead for good thanks to an Allan Castro two-run double and Vinny Capra two-run homer before Jason Delay added an RBI single in the seventh for a five-run lead.

The ‘Pigs tried to rally back with a Tommy Pham two-run homer in the eighth, but Worcester tacked on three in the last of the eighth on a Franklin Arias two-run single and a run-scoring wild pitch, putting the game to bed.

Seth Martinez (W, 3-2) got the win in relief for the WooSox, allowing just one run in 2.1 innings while Drake Fellows (L, 3-2) started for the ‘Pigs and took the loss, charged with six runs in 5.2 frames.

The ‘Pigs and WooSox continue their series on Friday, August 7th at Polar Park with first pitch scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Alan Rangel gets the start for the ‘Pigs while the WooSox go with Alec Gamboa.
