‘Pigs Rally In Eighth for Third Straight Win

Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 1, 2026) –The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (16-16, 51-56) sent nine to the plate in the eighth to plate four runs to rally for a 4-1 win over the Buffalo Bisons (16-16, 51-56) on Saturday night at Coca-Cola Park.

Both starters were dealing early, leading to a scoreless game thru the first six innings. Alan Rangel was the first to falter, allowing an unearned run in the seventh as the Bisons plated the first run on a wild pitch, scoring Charles McAdoo.

Kameron Misner belted a solo homer to start the eighth to tie the game. The ‘Pigs then loaded the bases with one out, where Carter Kieboom dropped a base hit into leftfield to score the go-ahead run. Liover Peguero followed with another RBI single before a Paul McIntosh sacrifice fly made it 4-1.

Lou Trivino (S, 4) pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save for the ‘Pigs, punching out a pair. Grant Holman (S, 1) worked 1.2 scoreless innings of relief for the win for the ‘Pigs, striking out two.

Javen Coleman (L, 0-1) took the loss for the Bisons, allowing all four runs in the eighth.

The IronPigs and Bisons conclude their series on Sunday, August 2 with first pitch slated for 1:15 p.m. Brian Keller is slated to throw for the ‘Pigs while the Bisons have to yet to tab a starter.
