Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 1, 2026) –The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (16-17, 51-57) saw their three-game winning streak come to a close in a series splitting 8-5 loss to the Buffalo Bisons (17-16, 52-56) on Sunday afternoon at Coca-Cola Park.
The ‘Pigs were rolling early as they jumped out in front with three runs in the second. Payton Henry opened the scoring with a two-run double before scoring himself on a Robert Moore base hit.
Buffalo didn’t have a baserunner the first three innings before exploding for four in the fourth. Sean Keys doubled home the first run before Daz Cameron followed with a two-run homer to tie the game. C.J. Stubbs then slugged a solo shot to put Buffalo ahead.
A pair of walks started the fifth for the Bisons and were eventually cashed in with two outs when Cameron drove in his third and fourth runs of the game with a two-base hit.
Buffalo made it eight unanswered runs as they tacked on two more in the seventh on a Keys sacrifice fly and a wild pitch that scored Josh Kasevich.
The ‘Pigs tried to rally back, starting with a two-run double from Tommy Pham in the seventh, but Tanner Andrews (S, 11) slammed the door for Buffalo, firing he final two frames in perfect fashion to close the 8-5 win for Buffalo.
Brendan Cellucci (W, 4-2) earned the win in relief for Buffalo with 1.1 scoreless frames while Brian Keller (L, 0-2) took the loss for the ‘Pigs, allowing six runs over 4.1 innings.
Following an off-day on Monday, the ‘Pigs begin a six-game set against the Worcester Red Sox at Polar Park on Tuesday, August 4th. First pitch is slated for 6:45 p.m.
