Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 12, 2026) – A seven-run first inning set the tone early as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (20-21, 55-61) routed the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (24-15, 61-52) by a final of 11-3 on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Park.
To kick off the seven-run first, Gabriel Rincones Jr. doubled home the first run before Tommy Pham doubled in two more to make it 3-0. After a pair of walks loaded the bases and bounced Scranton starter Xavier Rivas (L, 0-1) after just two-thirds of an inning, Paul McIntosh greeted the new arm on the mound with a grand slam, to put the ‘Pigs ahead 7-0.
Back-to-back solo homers from Oswaldo Cabrera and Yanquiel Fernandez in the second and a Max Schuemann RBI double in the third got SWB to within four after the end of three frames.
Keaton Anthony cancelled all three of those runs out on his own as he clubbed a three-run homer in the fourth, restoring the ‘Pigs seven-run lead.
An RBI single from Carter Kieboom in the seventh provided just one more run for good measure.
Drake Fellows (W, 4-2) was the beneficiary of the ‘Pigs offensive explosion early, as he settled in to throw seven innings of three run ball to earn the win.
The ‘Pigs and RailRiders continue their series on Thursday, August 13th with first pitch set for 6:45 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park. The ‘Pigs starter is TBD while Elmer Rodriguez goes for SWB.
