Buffalo, New York (August 18, 2026) – Six sterling innings from Chuck King led the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (23-22, 58-62) to a 5-1 win over the Buffalo Bisons (25-21, 60-61) on Tuesday night at Sahlen Field.
With King rattling off zeroes early, the ‘Pigs gave him the first run of support when Christian Cairo doubled home Colby Thomas in the fourth inning.
Kameron Misner clubbed a two-run homer in the fifth to extend the ‘Pigs lead to 5-0.
King (W, 8-6) departed after the sixth, having kept Buffalo scoreless. He allowed just three hits and two walks, striking out four.
The ‘Pigs plated a pair of insurance runs, one apiece in the seventh and eighth, thanks to a Keaton Anthony sacrifice fly and Paul McIntosh RBI single.
Buffalo got their only run of the game in the last of the eighth thanks to a Sean Keys RBI triple.
Grant Rogers (L, 3-10) allowed four of the five ‘Pigs runs and took the loss for the Bisons, working 6.1 innings.
The IronPigs and Bisons continue their series on Wednesday, August 19th with first pitch slated for 1:05 p.m. Drake Fellows is slated to go for the ‘Pigs against Josh Stephan for Buffalo.
