The Louisville Bats will welcome families and guests of all ages to Louisville Slugger Field for the Bats Fall Festival, presented by Cambria Hotels and Rumpke Waste & Recycling, on Friday, October 2 from 6-9 p.m.
The Bats’ annual trick-or-treat event is being held earlier than in previous years, giving Louisville families the chance to enjoy one of the first big trick-or-treating events of the fall. The night will feature trick-or-treating around the concourse, carnival games, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and more before a screening of Casper on Louisville Slugger Field’s videoboard.
Tickets are now on sale for $7.50 for adults and children ages three and older, while children ages two and under get in free. Bats season ticket members can purchase discounted tickets through their account.
Trick-or-treating will begin when gates open at 6 p.m. More than 20 Bats partners will be set up at stations throughout the concourse to hand out candy, with trick-or-treat bags provided to those who want to indulge. Carnival games will also be available throughout the evening.
The costume contest will return to the field, right at home plate! Guests can compete in five categories: Scariest, Cutest, Most Creative, Best Duo, and Best Group/Family. The costume contest will be judged by a panel of local media personalities. Winners in each category will receive a Bats prize pack.
A special menu of limited-edition food and drinks will be available during the Fall Festival. Food options include a loaded chili bowl, loaded chili dog, and cinnamon donut bites. Specialty drinks include a spicy margarita and an apple cider bourbon cocktail. The Miller Time Taphouse will transform into a one-of-a-kind beer garden for fans ages 21 and older.
After the costume contest concludes around 7:30 p.m., guests can have a seat in the seating bowl for a spooky screening of Casper (1995, rated PG).
Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, and the Louisville Slugger Field Box Office will be open on the night of the event as well.
The Clear Bag Policy at Louisville Slugger Field remains in place for this event. Parking is free for all guests in the main Louisville Slugger Field lot at the intersection of Main Street and Jackson Street.
