When the Louisville Bats take the field for the 2027 season, their uniforms will have a new addition.

Beginning next season, Minor League Baseball teams will have the chance to sell a sponsor patch on their jerseys, and the Bats are currently searching for a partner to have its logo featured on the team’s official on-field uniforms.

“This is something we’ve never been able to offer to a partner before, and we are thrilled about the opportunity,” Bats President Greg Galiette said. “Our jerseys are obviously one of the most visible parts of our team. To be able to have a partner represented alongside the Bats in that way will be pretty special.”

The new opportunity follows the introduction of jersey sponsorship patches across Major League Baseball in recent years. For the first time, Minor League clubs will be able to secure their own jersey patch partnerships starting in the 2027 season.

For the Bats, this means a new chance for a local or regional company to have its logo worn by Bats players throughout the season, both at Louisville Slugger Field and on the road across the International League.

This will become one of the most visible partnership opportunities the Bats have ever offered. The team plays 150 games throughout the season from late March through September, with 75 games at home in Louisville and 75 on the road in major metropolitan markets including Indianapolis, Nashville, Columbus, Memphis, and more. The Bats’ uniforms are also highlighted throughout the season on broadcasts, social media, and media coverage.

The partnership will extend beyond the jerseys worn by the Bats on the field. The sponsor patch will also be featured on Bats jerseys sold at the Louisville Slugger Field Team Store and online, giving the partner added exposure as fans wear Bats jerseys throughout Louisville and beyond.

The Bats have called Louisville Slugger Field home since 2000. The Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds annually welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans to the ballpark while maintaining partnerships with businesses of all sizes throughout Kentuckiana.

The club hopes its first jersey patch partner will have a similar connection to Louisville and the surrounding community.

“We have so many outstanding companies that call Louisville home,” Galiette said. “Finding a partner that makes sense for both the Bats and our fans is very important to us. This is going to be something that’s seen every time our team takes the field, so we want this to be a partnership everyone can be proud of.”
