BILOXI, MS (July 30, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits rallied from a four-run deficit to force extras before scoring three in the 10th inning, but the Biloxi Shuckers answered with four runs in the bottom half to walk off with a 9-8 victory on Thursday night at Keesler Federal Park.
Biloxi (53-42) struck first in the bottom of the first when Josiah Ragsdale hit a solo home run to center field, giving the Shuckers an early 1-0 lead.
The Shuckers added three runs in the fifth. David García launched a two-run home run to right-center before Ragsdale followed with his second homer of the game, a solo shot to left-center, extending the lead to 4-0.
Montgomery (50-48) got on the board in the sixth when Will Simpson lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Brayden Taylor and cutting the deficit to 4-1.
The Biscuits continued to chip away in the seventh. Taylor singled home Mac Horvath, bringing Montgomery within two at 4-2.
Kamren James pulled the Biscuits within one in the eighth with a solo home run to left-center, but Biloxi answered when Andrew Fischer's sacrifice fly scored Daniel Guilarte to make it 5-3.
Montgomery tied the game in the ninth with back-to-back home runs. Xavier Isaac, down to his final strike, hit a solo shot to right before Simpson followed with a solo home run to center, evening the game at 5-5.
The Biscuits took the lead in the 10th. James singled home Émilien Pitre before Horvath followed with an RBI single to score Gregory Barrios. Caden Bodine then lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home James, giving Montgomery an 8-5 advantage.
Biloxi rallied in the bottom of the 10th. Josh Adamczewski singled home Blake Burke before an error put the tying run on, setting the table for Mark Coley II to launch a three-run walk-off home run to left, scoring Adamczewski and Marco Dinges to hand the Shuckers the 9-8 victory.
Montgomery collected 13 hits in the loss. James went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored. Taylor went 3-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI, while Isaac went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Simpson added a home run and two RBI, and Horvath drove in two runs while extending his hitting streak to a league best 14 games.
TJ Nichols allowed four runs on six hits over 6.0 innings while striking out five. Andrew Lindsey allowed one run over two innings before Jonny Cuevas (2-1) was charged with the loss after allowing four runs, three earned, in 1.1 innings.
Biloxi starter Jaron DeBerry allowed one run over 5.2 innings. Sam Garcia and Ryan Birchard combined for 2.1 innings before Stiven Cruz surrendered five runs in the ninth and 10th innings. Cruz ultimately earned the win despite allowing the Biscuits to take a three-run lead in the 10th.
