MONTGOMERY, AL (August 13, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits erased an eight-run deficit, rallying past the Chattanooga Lookouts 13-9 on Thursday night at DABOS Park to win fourth straight.
Chattanooga jumped out to an 8-0 lead through four innings. Johnny Ascanio singled home Yerlin Confidan in the second, before Carter Graham doubled home Carlos Sanchez and Cam Collier followed with a three-run homer in the third to make it 5-0.
The Lookouts added three more runs in the fourth. Sanchez grounded into a double play that allowed Ascanio to score, before Graham doubled home Marcus Smith and Ruben Ibarra followed with an RBI single to extend Chattanooga's lead to 8-0.
Montgomery began its comeback in the fourth when Theo Gillen launched a three-run homer to left field, scoring Caden Bodine and Xavier Isaac.
The Biscuits erupted for five runs in the fifth to pull even. Gregory Barrios singled home Ryan Spikes and Brock Jones, Cooper Kinney followed with an RBI single, Isaac lifted a sacrifice fly to score Bodine, and Will Simpson singled home Kinney to tie the game at 8-8.
Montgomery took its first lead in the seventh. Kinney doubled home Bodine before Gillen added a sacrifice fly to score Kinney, putting the Biscuits ahead 10-8.
Chattanooga pulled within one in the eighth when Marcus Smith singled home Kien Vu, but Montgomery answered with three runs in the bottom half. Barrios singled home Connor Hujsak, Kinney brought home Spikes with a sacrifice fly, and Isaac doubled home Barrios to make it 13-9.
Andrew Lindsey earned the win after allowing one run over 1.1 innings while striking out two, and Jonny Cuevas recorded his second save with 1.2 scoreless innings.
Jackson Baumeister allowed seven runs over 3.2 innings, while Roel Garcia III worked 2.1 innings and allowed one run. Chattanooga starter Lorant tossed a scoreless first inning before leaving due to injury. The Biscuits scored eight runs over the next four innings against Nate Peterson.
Gillen led Montgomery with a 1-for-4 night, including his ninth home run of the season, and drove in four runs. Kinney went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Barrios also collected two hits and drove in three runs. Isaac added a double, two RBI and a run scored, while Simpson went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jones and Hujsak each doubled, and Bodine scored three runs while drawing three walks.
