MADISON, AL (September 1, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits fell to the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 10-9, in 11 innings on Tuesday night at Toyota Field.
Rocket City struck first in the second inning when Tucker Flint launched his 12th home run of the season, a solo shot to right-center field, giving the Trash Pandas a 1-0 lead.
Montgomery answered in the third when Cooper Kinney lifted a sacrifice fly to left field that scored Gregory Barrios, tying the game at 1-1.
The Trash Pandas regained the lead in the fourth when Jacob Cozart launched a two-run homer to right field, scoring Jake Munroe and putting Rocket City ahead 3-1.
The Biscuits trimmed the deficit in the fifth when Kinney singled home Kamren James, bringing Montgomery within one at 3-2.
Montgomery tied the game in the sixth when Gregory Barrios singled home Theo Gillen, making it 3-3.
The Biscuits took their first lead of the night in the eighth when Kamren James ripped a two-run triple to right field, scoring J.T. Arruda and Connor Hujsak to put Montgomery ahead 5-3.
Rocket City answered in the bottom half when Arjun Nimmala hit a two-run homer to center field, tying the game at 5-5.
The Biscuits regained the lead in the 10th when Arruda singled home Gillen, giving Montgomery a 6-5 advantage. Rocket City answered in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Anthony Scull that scored Mac McCroskey, sending the game to the 11th tied at 6-6.
Montgomery scored three times in the 11th to take a 9-6 lead. Barrios scored on a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt by James, before James scored on another throwing error following a sacrifice bunt by Horvath. Horvath then scored on a wild pitch to give the Biscuits a three-run lead.
Rocket City rallied in the bottom of the 11th, as Jake Munroe singled home Arjun Nimmala and Nick Rodriguez to cut the deficit to 9-8. Cozart then delivered the walk-off blow, launching his second home run of the night and sixth of the season to right field to give the Trash Pandas a 10-9 victory.
Arruda led the Biscuits with three hits, including his fifth double of the season, while Barrios and Gillen each recorded two hits. James went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored, while Kinney drove in two runs. Horvath stole his 47th base of the season, Barrios swiped two bases to reach 38, and Hujsak stole his fourth.
Garrett Edwards started for Montgomery and allowed three runs on three hits over 6.0 innings while striking out seven. Andrew Lindsey followed with 1.1 innings, allowing two runs on one hit, while Justin Yeager worked 1.2 innings of scoreless ball while striking out three. Luis Guerrero took the loss after allowing five runs, three earned, on three hits in extras.
