
MADISON, AL (September 5, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits rallied for two runs in the 11th inning to defeat the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 5-3, on Saturday night at Toyota Field, winning their fourth straight game and improving to 68-63 on the season.
Montgomery took an early lead in the first inning when a passed ball allowed Gregory Barrios to score.
The Biscuits extended the lead in the third when Cooper Kinney hit an inside-the-park home run to left-center, his 11th homer of the season, making it 2-0.
Rocket City tied the game in the fifth when Eddie Micheletti Jr. launched a two-run homer to right field, scoring Nick Rodriguez.
Montgomery regained the lead in the ninth when Justyn-Henry Malloy hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot to left-center, putting the Biscuits ahead 3-2.
Rocket City answered in the bottom of the ninth with a Jake Munroe solo home run to center field, sending the game to extra innings.
The Biscuits broke the tie in the 11th. Theo Gillen singled home Kinney to put Montgomery ahead 4-3. J.T. Arruda followed with an RBI single to score Simpson, giving the Biscuits a two-run advantage.
Kinney finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and an RBI. Malloy went 1-for-3 with a home run, RBI and run scored. Gillen finished 2-for-5 with an RBI...Arruda added a hit and an RBI. Connor Hujsak went 1-for-3 with a double while Barrios scored a run and added a double.
Marcus Johnson allowed two runs over 5.0 innings while striking out four. K.C. Hunt tossed 3.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two. Hayden Snelsire earned the win, improving to 6-3, after allowing one run over 3.0 innings while striking out three.
