MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (SEPTEMBER 17, 2026) – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are proud to announce the return of two events to Pelicans Ballpark this fall – BaseAble and Trick-or-Treat.
The Pelicans will host their annual Trick-or-Treat event presented by Regional Homes of Conway on Thursday, October 29 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm. Kids 12 & under will be invited throughout the facility and onto the field to trick-or-treat. Concessions will be available at the Pepsi Grille including hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, popcorn, and more. Adult beverages will also be available at various locations. Admission to the event is free and open to all ages but does require a ticket. To secure your free ticket to the annual Trick-or-Treat event visit myrtlebeachpelicans.com/Halloween. “The Trick-or-Treat event has become an off-season staple for the Pelicans and we are thrilled to once again host families and fans of all ages for a night of fun at the ballpark,” stated Pelicans Team President Ryan Moore.
The Pelicans have also teamed up with Special Olympics South Carolina Area 16 to once again host a BaseAble clinic and demonstration game on Saturday, October 17 at Pelicans Ballpark. The mission of BaseAble is to provide and encourage an inclusive environment for individuals with mental or physical disabilities to play the great game of baseball. Prior to the clinic and baseball game on that Saturday, the coaches and athletes will visit Pelicans Ballpark for a private tour of the Pelicans Home Clubhouse and newly renovated facilities on Friday night.
The event will welcome athletes from South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. While prior BaseAble events have been held in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina, this marks the second time the organization has come to South Carolina – with both events taking place at Pelicans Ballpark.
“This is such a great opportunity for our athletes to play on a big-league field, and we are thrilled to be bringing Special Olympics Baseball to the Grand Strand for the second year in a row,” stated Scott Strainge, Area 16 Director for Special Olympics South Carolina. “Horry County Special Olympics is forever grateful for our partnership with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and are looking forward to an amazing day of baseball and sharing a love of this great game.”
The “Swing for Inclusion” baseball clinic, which will take place from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, will be run by Tony Vlahovic – a former professional athlete and experienced entrepreneur in the fields of sports mental conditioning and post rehabilitation therapy. Vlahovic is also the Chairman of the Special Olympics Baseball Development Committee. High school baseball teams from around the area will join Vlahovic and other Special Olympics coaches in executing the clinic and working with the Special Olympians on developing their skills.
Following the clinic, the athletes and coaches will be treated to lunch at the ballpark before the members of the National Special Olympics Baseball Team take the field at 1pm for a demonstration game. Admission to the game is free and community members and supporters are encouraged to come out and cheer on the athletes.

Additional fall events at Pelicans Ballpark which were previously announced include 18th Annual Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Game on Saturday, September 26, and the SERVPRO Myrtle Beach Fall Showdown on October 10 and 11 featuring fall exhibition games between the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and the Clemson Tigers.
The Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Tournament, which is presented by Dynamic Building Solutions LLC with support from Beach Automotive and WMBF News, will feature an 8‐team showdown between first responders of the Grand Strand and its surrounding communities. All proceeds from the event will benefit SOS Care’s Project Lifesaver which serves all of Horry County. Gates open at 9AM with the first game starting at 10AM. Admission to the event is a $10 donation to SOS Care. A hot dog buffet is also available while supplies last. Concessions will also be available for purchase. The SERVPRO Myrtle Beach Fall Showdown is presented by SERVPRO Team Zubricki and supported by WPDE and Gator 107.9. The showdown will begin Saturday, October 10 with the first matchup starting at 4pm. The pair return for a Sunday afternoon game on October 11 at 1pm. Clemson will be the home team on Saturday, and Coastal Carolina will be the home team on Sunday. Tickets for the event are on-sale now at peak.events or at myrtlebeachpelicans.com/events.
