MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (August 16, 2026). – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans series finale against the Hill City Howlers scheduled for Sunday August 16th has been cancelled due to inclement weather and additional storms in the area. Since it was the final meeting between the two teams this season, the game will not be made up.
Fans holding tickets to the August 16 rained-out game can exchange them for any 2026 regular season home game, or any future year regular season home game. Fans can hold onto their ticket and just exchange it at the box office the next time you come to Pelicans Ballpark, or swap it out over the phone by calling 843-918-6000.
With the cancellation, the Pelicans take the series over the Howlers 3-2.
Myrtle Beach will kick off the second part of their two-week homestand at Pelicans Ballpark against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A Astros) on Tuesday, August 18. First pitch is slated for 7:05 PM. Both teams starting pitchers have yet to be announced.
