NASHVILLE (August 14, 2026) – The Sounds cruised to an easy 9-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians on Friday night to end a two-game slide and even the series through four games. Nashville's offense exploded for nine early runs to back another stellar pitching performance by Coleman Crow.
The Sounds powered in front early thanks to the first home run in a Sounds uniform for Bo Naylor. After Sal Frelick drew a six-pitch walk to start the game, Naylor crushed the first offering from Noah Davis to put the Sounds up 2-0. After three straight walks to load the bases, Ethan Murray pushed the lead to four runs with a two-out, two-RBI single. Naylor then connected on his second home run in as many at-bats - his eighth career multi-HR game - to make it 5-0. Two batters later, Akil Baddoo launched his first home run since June 20. A pair of two-out walks in the bottom of the third turned the lineup over to Frelick, who continued to tee-off against Davis with Nashville's fourth home run through three innings to extend the lead to nine. It was the first home run of the rehab assignment for Frelick and his first since game one of a doubleheader against Indianapolis' parent club on July 11.
Naylor (2-for-5, 2 HR, 3 RBI) and Tyler Black (2-for-3, BB) recorded multi-hit performances for the Sounds. Frelick (3 RBI), Naylor (3 RBI), and Murray (2 RBI) each chipped in with multi-RBI performances at the plate. It was the first multi-RBI game through five games of the rehab assignment for Frelick, who has a hit in each of his last four games and reached in all five.
Crow, the Brewers no. 22-rated prospect was excellent on the mound Friday night. The right-hander worked a season-high 6.2 IP without allowing a run on two hits. He struck out six and issued just one walk for his second straight quality start and fourth over his last five games en route to his team-leading seventh win of the season. It marks the 21st career quality start for Crow, who has worked a quality start every time going 6+ IP during his professional career. Friday night was the eighth time doing so without allowing an earned run. He allowed his first hit in the top of the fourth, retiring 10-of-11 to start the game, and facing the minimum until allowing a two-out single to Enmanuel Valdez.
Kaleb Bowman (1.1 IP, 2 H, K) and Will Childers (1.0 IP, 2 H, K) combined to finish the game on the mound. After getting the first hit of the night for Indy, Valdez broke up the Nashville's shutout bid with a one-out solo home run in the top of the ninth inning.
The Sounds and Indians will continue their series on Saturday night at First Horizon Park. RHP Brandon Sproat (0-1, 13.50 ERA) will make his second start with Nashville against LHP Hunter Barco (4-6, 4.12 ERA) and Indianapolis. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

BO DOUBTERS: Bo Naylor tallied 848 ft worth of home runs with his multi-HR performance on Friday night. The pair of homers marked his first with the Sounds in seven games played since a trade from Cleveland on August 1. It was his eighth career multi-HR game, fifth in Triple-A, and second of the season. His 428 ft 2-run blast in the first inning tied Eduardo Garcia (July 29 vs. CLT) for the third-longest HR hit by a Nashville player this season. His first 2-HR game of the year happened in game one of a doubleheader against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 19 with Columbus. It's the third time he has posted multiple 2-HR games in the same season of his professional career. He also has a pair of multi-HR games in the big leagues with Cleveland on July 25, 2023 (vs. KC) and on September 20, 2025 (@MIN). Naylor is the fifth different Nashville player to record a multi-HR game this season. Naylor is up to 107 career home runs between the minors and MLB.
PITCH AND CROW: Brewers no. 22-rated prospect Coleman Crow made his 13th start (14th appearance) for the Sounds this season on Friday night and earned his team-leading 7th win of the season. The right-hander posted his second straight quality start, fourth in his last five games, and fifth overall in Triple-A this season while working a season-high 6.2 IP and 94 pitches (2 H, 6 K, BB). His 21 career quality starts are tied for the fourth-most by any minor leaguer since the start of the 2021 season with fewer than 65 starts. Since returning to Nashville on July 4, Crow is 3-0 and leads Triple-A in ERA (1.96), BAA (.177), and WHIP (0.95), ranks T-5th in IP (36.2) and T-6th in strikeouts (34). Friday night was his eighth career start of 6+ IP without an earned run allowed and his second straight scoreles start (12.2 IP, 7 H, 11 K, 3 BB). He has earned a quality start all 21 times he has gone 6+ IP in his career.
SAL PAL: Sal Frelick belted his first home run of his rehab assignment on Friday night, going 1-for-3 (3 RBI, BB, 2 R). The homer was his fifth of the season (4 w/MIL); first since game one of a doubleheader on July 11 at Pittsburgh; and his seventh career homer in Triple-A. The 3-run blast helped surpass 100 career minor league RBI since being selected by 15th overall by the Brewers in 2021 (102 RBI / 202 G). Frelick has recorded a hit in four straight games for the Sounds during his rehab assignment and posted a .310 AVG (112-for-361), adding 29 XBH, 46 RBI and 68 runs in 91 career Triple-A games.
BID YOU BADDOO: Akil Baddoo hit his eighth home run of the season for the Sounds on Friday night. It was his third home run of the year at First Horizon Park and his first overall since June 20 at Memphis before he landed on the Injured List and missed 28 games between June 21-July 27. Friday night's solo blast was his 36th career Triple-A HR. His eight round-trippers are the third-most on the active roster behind Brock Wilken and Jeferson Quero, who each have 12. Baddoo has 32 RBI in 37 games played with Nashville, including a career-high 7-RBI (6/20 @ MEM) and is tied with Tyler Black for the third-most RBI on the active roster.
FOUR SCORE: Friday night was the second time this season Nashville has hit 4 HR off the same pitcher in a game with their four HR off Noah Davis. The Sounds also tagged Shane Murphy (CLT) with 4 HR on July 10. Nashville is one of six different IL teams to have multiple games with 4+ HR off a single pitcher this season. Louisville and St. Paul have each done it three different times this year.
