Luis Lara Named International League All-Star

51st Player in Franchise History to be Named Postseason All-Star

September 27th, 2026

NASHVILLE (September 27, 2026) – Minor League Baseball announced All-Star Teams and award winners for the International League and Pacific Coast League during Saturday’s Triple-A Championship Game in Las Vegas. Nashville outfielder Luis Lara was one of three All-Star outfielders in the International League and the only Nashville player to be named an International League All-Star for the 2026 season.

Lara, 21, appeared in 78 games for Nashville this season and slashed .321/.432/.470. Despite playing his final game of the season for the Sounds on July 5, Lara led the club in runs (67), stolen bases (24), ranked second in hits (92), third in walks (54), tied for fourth in triples (3), was fourth in total bases (135), tied for sixth in home runs (9) and doubles (10), finished seventh in RBI (42), and was eighth in XBH (22). His nine home runs shattered his previous single-season career-high (4) while also setting a career-high in RBI.

He entered the season as the fourth-youngest player in Triple-A and from the start of the season until he was recalled to Milwaukee on July 7, he led the International League in OBP and runs, ranked third in AVG and walks, ranked fifth in hits, and tied for eighth in stolen bases. He set a career-high with five hits on June 23 vs. Gwinnett (5-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI) and became the 17th player in franchise history with a 5-hit game and one of 12 players in the IL to record a 5-hit game this year. He finished the season with the second-most multi-hit games for any Nashville player with 23 behind only Jeferson Quero (25) and had 12 games of 3+ hits, with no Sounds player having more than six such games.

Lara signed a 7-year extension with the Milwaukee Brewers on June 9 before making his Major League debut. He has appeared in 61 games for Milwaukee, hitting .246 (47-for-191) with eight doubles, two triples, a home run, and 26 RBI entering the final day of the regular season and was twice awarded with the MLB Play of the Week. This is the second time he has been named a league All-Star after also being named a Dominican Summer League Mid-Season All-Star in 2022. He was named a Brewers MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2023 and won a Rawlings MiLB Gold Glove in center field in 2025 for Double-A Biloxi.

Nashville has had at least one representative as an International League Post-Season All-Star in five of the last six seasons.

The Nashville Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and play at First Horizon Park. Season Ticket Memberships for the 2027 season are available now. For more information, please call 615-690-447 or email tickets@nashvillesounds.com.
