
ERIE, PA – Catcher Aaron Parker’s two home runs highlighted the night, as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (19-30, 53-62) fell to the Erie SeaWolves (33-15, 69-47) on Thursday at UPMC Park, 6-3. Despite a 2-0 New Hampshire lead after the first inning, Erie’s five runs on two swings in the third and the fourth were the dealbreakers in the Thursday loss.
New Hampshire starter Danny Thompson Jr. (L, 1-2) allowed four runs on four hits and struck out six batters in 3-1/3 innings. Reliever Angel Obando was tagged for a pair of runs in 2-2/3 frames but struck out five batters. Right-hander Jonathan Todd fired a scoreless seventh inning and Daniel Guerra struck out two in the eighth.
Erie starter Lucas Elissalt struck out 10 in four innings and allowed two runs on one of Parker’s two homers. Reliever Eric Silva (W, 5-2) allowed a run in two innings and fellow reliever Colin Fields (SV,1) tossed a perfect ninth and notched the save.

New Hampshire struck first on Thursday. Following a Dub Gleed single, Parker (15) clubbed his 15th of the season to give the Fisher Cats the early 2-0 lead.
In the bottom of the third inning, Erie tied the game with a two-run double with two outs from first baseman Andrew Jenkins to even the score at 2-2.
Erie loaded the bases on a trio of walks in the fourth inning and took the lead on a wild pitch. With runners at second and third, second baseman EJ Exposito (22) lifted a three-run homer to make it 6-2.
The Cats got a run back in the fifth on Parker’s (16) second home run of the game, but New Hampshire’s offense quieted, and Erie pulled out with Thursday win, 6-3.
New Hampshire and Erie continue their six-game series on Friday, August 21, with first pitch slated for 6:05 PM. Toronto’s No. 3 prospect Johnny King (0-1, 4.50 ERA) will start for the Cats and the SeaWolves will counter with righty Max Alba (2-4, 6.01 ERA).
