PENSACOLA, FL – The Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced Tuesday that “Funball,” a kid-friendly fan experience with a focus on having fun, is coming to Blue Wahoos Stadium for the first time on Saturday, September 12.
Participants age 6-12 can live the life of a big leaguer with various stations set up throughout the stadium, featuring wiffle ball, access to the batting cage and dugout, the opportunity to hit home runs over the outfield wall, have walk-up music played through the stadium’s sound system, and a simulated “media day” experience with a photo keepsake.
All participants get an exclusive “Funball” t-shirt and a ticket to the Blue Wahoos’ Saturday evening game against the Biloxi Shuckers at 6:05 p.m. featuring a postgame fireworks show.
Tickets are $40, and there will be two sessions beginning at 8:00 a.m. (baseball) and 10:30 a.m. (softball). Skills training for all experience levels will be led by local athletes from the Pensacola community.
