(Reading, PA) - Following the postponement of the Thursday, August 27 game, the Reading Fightin Phils and Binghamton Rumble Ponies will play a doubleheader on Saturday, August 29. The first pitch of game one is scheduled for 4 p.m., and both games will be seven innings. Friday, August 28, will remain a single game at 6:45 p.m. as scheduled.
Gates to FirstEnergy Stadium will open at 3:45 p.m., and the full seating bowl will open then as well. There will be approximately 30-40 minutes between games, but the second contest will not begin prior to 6:45 p.m. So, fans who planned to arrive for the originally scheduled 6:45 p.m. game will still be able to watch that entire game and catch the postgame Drone Show, celebrating "Swifites" and 60 Seasons of Phillies affiliation, thanks to Blue Ridge Remodeling.
There will be a between-game "Tribute to Taylor" concert featuring Kendal Conrad, along with a Happy Hour, presented by Celsius. Following the game, "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Princes" will perform a postgame "Tribute to Taylor" concert, which also includes a Happy Hour, thanks to Bru Daddy's Brewing Company.
On the field, the Fightin Phils will wear special R-Phils "Swifties" Friendship Bracelet Jerseys with a Jersey Auction and Raffle, presented by Philly Pretzel Factory - Muhlenberg, Spring House Window & Door, and 830 AM WEEU. It is also Malvern Night. All tickets for Saturday, August 29 are valid for both games of the doubleheader.
Reading returns to the field on Friday against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:45 p.m. Pregame radio coverage is underway at 6:25 p.m. on the Reading Fightin Phils Radio Network. A video stream is available via MiLB TV or the Bally Live App.
The Fightin Phils remain home through Sunday against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Friday features fireworks, and Saturday is a Post-Game Drone Show (Blue Ridge Remodeling) celebrating 60 Seasons of Phillies Affiliation and Celebrating "Swifties." The series ends Sunday with an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic (Berks County Intermediate Unit).
