
(Reading, PA) - The Philadelphia Phillies announced on Tuesday that Aidan Miller has been transferred to the Reading Fightin Phils.
Miller, who has not played in 2026, was placed on the 7-day injured list on March 27. The 22-year-old began a rehab assignment with Clearwater (A) on Sept. 5 and had a double and a walk in three plate appearances with the Threshers.
The Phillies No. 2 prospect spent the majority of 2025 with Reading and appeared in 108 games. With the Fightin Phils, Miller slashed .259/.382/.427 (.809 OPS), while adding 40 extra-base hits (25 2B, 2 3B, 13 HR), 41 RBI and stole a team-high 52 bases. He was promoted to Lehigh Valley (AAA) on Sept. 9 and appeared in eight games with the IronPigs prior to the end of the season.
The Dunedin, Florida, native spent his first full pro season in 2024 between Clearwater, Jersey Shore (A+) and ultimately concluded with Reading. In 2023, Miller split time between the FCL-Phillies (ROK) and Clearwater.
Miller was drafted by the Phillies in the first round (27th overall) of the 2023 draft out of Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, Florida.
The Fightin Phils home through Sunday, September 13, against the Erie Seawolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. On Tuesday, the first 1,000 fans receive a Pride Night R-Phils 32-ounce cup (Kutztown University and LGBTQ+ Resource Center at Kutztown University). Wednesday features a Game-Worn Pinstripe Jersey Auction/Raffle, while Thursday will be a Throwback Jersey Auction/Raffle. Friday night is a Prost Oktoberfest Tribute with fireworks (Savage Auto Group). It will be another Prost Oktoberfest Tribute on Saturday, with Carpenter MEGA Blast Fireworks (Penske). The series and regular season end on Sunday with Dinosaur Day, featuring Interactive Dinosaur Exhibits.
