(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, announced their end-of-season player awards on Sunday before the last game of the 2026 regular season against the Erie SeaWolves.
These awards recognize various members of the 2026 Fightin Phils team for their achievements on and off the field.
Pepsi Stolen Base Leader Award: Bryan Rincon
Entering the final game of the season, Rincon leads the Fightin Phils with 29 steals in 33 total attempts. Amongst Phillies Minor Leaguers, Rincon ranks tied for fourth in stolen bases entering play on Sunday. The 22-year-old has been a staple at the top of Reading's lineup all season long and has been a threat with his bat and speed once reaching base. Rincon turned in a career season with the Fightin Phils, appearing in 117 games, while hitting .262, along with 24 home runs and 62 RBI, paired with his impressive season on the bases. He was selected by the Phillies in the 14th round of the 2022 draft out of Shaler High School in Pittsburgh.
R-Phils Gene Shirk Community Service Award: Austin Murr
Murr has been a staple on and off the field for the Fightin Phils in 2026. A Minor League Rule Five Selection in 2025, Murr has been involved in a variety of player engagement opportunities this season. He is always one of the first players to sign up to help out at Fightin Phils Camps, Celebrate Your Faith Nights, amongst other non-baseball activities. On the field, the 27-year-old has appeared in 56 games this season, hitting .280, with 25 extra-base hits and 27 RBI. Prior to joining the Phillies organization, Murr was with the Detroit Tigers through the end of 2025 after originally being selected by Detroit in the sixth round of the 2021 draft out of North Carolina State.
Broadway Charlie Wagner Un-Sung Hero Award: Raylin Heredia
Heredia has been a consistent threat in the middle of the Fightin Phils lineup all season long, turning in a career-best season in 2026. Across 134 games, the 22-year-old slashed .280/.319/.476 (.795 OPS), while adding 83 runs, 35 doubles, one triple, 23 home runs, 74 RBI, and 25-32 in stolen bases. Amongst Eastern League hitters, Heredia is seventh in average, tied for fourth in home runs, seventh in RBI, 10th in slugging percentage, first in hits, first in doubles, first in extra-base hits, first in total bases, and fifth in runs scored. The Santiago, Dominican Republic, native signed with the Phillies as an international free agent in 2021.
R-Phils Strikeout Leader Award: Adam Seminaris
Seminaris finished 2026 with a team-high 162 strikeouts over 138.1 innings pitched. His 162 strikeouts were a career-high, surpassing his previous high of 112 in 2021. Seminaris leads the Eastern League in strikeouts and is the most among full-season minor league players entering play on Sunday. Seminaris has twice struck out 10 batters this season, on May 30 against Harrisburg and June 13 against Portland.
R-Phils Clutch Player Award: Pedro Leon
Although not joining the Fightin Phils until June 12, Leon proved to be one of the most clutch hitters on the Fightin Phils this season. Entering play on the final day of the season, Leon leads the Fightin Phils with a .313 average with runners in scoring position. Leon leads the team in hitting with two outs as well, with a .300 average.
R-Phils Big Stick Award: Alex Binelas
Alex Binelas had a career year in Reading this season, lifting a career-high 26 home runs, which led all Fightin Phils. He also led the Eastern League with his 26 home runs as well. The Fightin Phils combined to have three players hit over 20 home runs this season, with Bryan Rincon (24) and Raylin Heredia (23) shortly behind Binelas.
FirstEnergy R-Phils Pitcher of the Year Award: Adam Seminaris
Seminaris enters the final day of the season leading Reading's starting pitchers in ERA (4.03), starts (26), innings pitched (138.1), and strikeouts (162). Amongst Eastern League pitchers, Seminaris is third in ERA (4.03), tied for first in wins (11) and first in strikeouts (162), tied for first in starts (26), first in innings pitched (138.1), eighth in average against (.260), and first in WHIP (1.22). Seminaris signed with the Phillies as a free agent last offseason and posted an 11-9 record, proving to be one of the steadiest arms in the Fighitn Phils rotation. He was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 draft out of Long Beach State by the Los Angeles Angels, and his career has included stops with the Brewers, Mariners, and Phillies organizations.
FirstEnergy R-Phils MVP Award: Alex Binelas and Bryan Rincon
In an unprecedented honor, the Fightin Phils have awarded CO-MVPs this season to Bryan Rincon and Alex Binelas. The 26-year-old Binelas played in 116 games with Reading this season and slashed .267/.382/.509 (.891 OPS), along with 15 doubles, two triples, 26 home runs and 72 RBI. He earned a promotion to Lehigh Valley (AAA) on Sept. 4, his first time joining the IronPigs since signing with the Phillies in 2025. Entering the final day of the season, Binelas holds the following Eastern League Ranks: 9th AVG (.267), 1st HR (26), 3rd RBI (78), 5th OBP (.382), 2nd SLG (.509), 3rd OPS (.891), T-5th BB (72), T-8th XBH (43), and 8th total bases (204). Before signing with the Phillies in 2025, Binelas was with the Red Sox from 2022-25 and was originally drafted by the Brewers in the third round of the 2021 draft out of Louisville.
The 22-year-old Rincon enters the final day of the season with a slash line of .262/.406/.500 (.906 OPS) over 117 games. The Phillies No. 5 prospect, and MLB's No. 100 prospect, has added 24 doubles, two triples, 24 home runs, 62 RBI and 29 stolen bases. Rincon has posted career highs in average, games played, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI and walks. Entering play on Sunday, Rincon holds the following Eastern League ranks: T-2nd HR (24), 2nd OBP (.406), T-3rd SLG (.500), 2nd OPS (.906), 1st BB (94), 4th XBH (50), 6th total bases (210) and 2nd runs (90). Rincon was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 14th round of the 2022 draft out of Shaler High School in Pittsburgh.
