
Heavy metal band Lamb of God is set to make an appearance at CarMax Park on Thursday, June 4, for the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ game against the Erie SeaWolves.
The band will perform the National Anthem prior to first pitch and will perform “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” for the seventh-inning stretch. The ballpark gates open at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch for the game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Additionally, fans can meet the band members at The Backstop from 7:15-8:15 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative poster.
Lamb of God formed in the mid-1990s in Richmond and released their first album in 2000. Two of their albums, “Ashes of the Wake” and “Sacrament” have been certified gold by the RIAA. The band has gone on to earn five Grammy Award nominations.
