The Flying Squirrels open the month of August with a six-game series against the Reading Fightin Phils (Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies), Tuesday, August 4-Sunday, August 9. A pregame 804 Day Block Party and postgame drone show highlight the series-opening game. The week will also include a Nutasha bobblehead giveaway, Virginia Tech Night and a Funky Fireworks show featuring diffraction glasses and a live performance by the Flying Squirrels' Batter Up Brass Band.

Promotion highlights: The 804 Day celebration starts early with a pregame block party outside the center field gates at CarMax Park from 5-7 p.m. featuring games, face painting, a balloon artist, a photobooth artist, music from DJ Ron Manila and more.
The 804 Day Block Party will also be the first chance for fans to purchase individual-game tickets for the Flying Squirrels’ home games in this September’s Eastern League playoffs.
On the field, the Flying Squirrels will again be representing the River City in their Theme Night Collection River City uniforms. Click here to bid on game-worn River City jerseys. Proceeds from the jersey auction go to benefit the James River Association.
