MADISON, AL — The Los Angeles Angels announced a series of roster moves on Monday evening impacting the Rocket City Trash Pandas, promoting four players to Triple-A Salt Lake while adding four prospects from High-A Tri-City. Right-handed pitchers Ryan Costeiu and Joel Hurtado, left-handed pitcher Leonard Garcia, and outfielder Raudi Rodriguez were all transferred to Triple-A Salt Lake, while right-handed pitcher Tyler Bremner, left-handed pitchers Dylan Phillips and Nicolo Pinazzi, and outfielder Randy De Jesus joined Rocket City from High-A Tri-City. Additionally, outfielder Elijah Dunham was given his unconditional release by the Angels.
Rodriguez, 23, earned his first promotion to Triple-A after being one of the league’s most impactful hitters. The outfielder hit .261 with 12 home runs, 42 RBIs, 72 runs scored, 27 stolen bases, and a .791 OPS in 95 games while ranking among the Southern League leaders in runs scored, walks, on-base percentage, and stolen bases. The Angels' No. 17 prospect according to MLB Pipeline recorded a 22-game on-base streak from April 12-May 9 and matched a club record by reaching base six times on May 16 at Birmingham after going 4-for-4 with a home run, double, RBI, two walks, and four runs scored. He also recorded his second career multi-home run game on June 19 against Montgomery and finished his Rocket City career with 91 hits and 72 runs scored in 2026. Raudi exits Rocket City as the only Double-A player with at least 85 hits, 10+ home runs, 70+ runs scored, 40+ RBIs, 55+ walks, and 25+ stolen bases.
Garcia, 22, was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake after emerging as one of the Southern League's top setup relievers in 2026. The left-hander appeared in 35 games for Rocket City, posting 11 holds that led the Southern League while tying for the league lead in appearances. Garcia recorded a six-game scoreless streak from April 19-May 12, allowing just one unearned run over 9.2 innings with 14 strikeouts, and finished his Double-A campaign with 61 strikeouts in 41.0 innings while holding opponents to a .200 batting average. Signed by the Angels as an international free agent out of Venezuela in 2019, Garcia reached Triple-A for the first time in his professional career.
Hurtado, 25, earned his first promotion to Triple-A after making 38 career starts with Rocket City over the past two seasons. The right-hander went 6-4 with a 3.63 ERA in 20 starts this season, leading the Southern League in innings pitched (101.2) while ranking second in ERA. Over his final 16 starts beginning April 29, Hurtado posted a 6-3 record with a 3.07 ERA, the best mark among qualified Double-A starters during that span. Originally signed by the Angels as a minor league free agent in 2022, the Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic native leaves Rocket City ranked third in franchise history in starts (38).
Costeiu, 24, was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake after going 7-7 with 96 strikeouts over 86.0 innings in 19 starts for the Trash Pandas this season, ranking among the Southern League leaders in wins, starts, and strikeouts. Costeiu won four of five starts from April 19-May 14, highlighted by a season-high nine-strikeout performance against Birmingham on May 14, and later turned in his best outing of the year on July 2 against Pensacola, allowing one run over 6.0 innings in a victory.
Bremner, 22, was transferred to Double-A Rocket City from High-A Tri-City after making his professional debut earlier this season. The Angels' No. 1 prospect according to MLB Pipeline and the No. 42 overall prospect in baseball (No. 35 by Baseball America), Bremner was selected with the second overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft and signed for $7.6 million, marking the highest draft selection by the Angels since Darin Erstad was taken first overall in 1995. In his first professional season, the San Diego native went 2-4 with a 4.28 ERA in 14 starts for Tri-City, striking out 64 batters in 48.1 innings before representing the Angels in the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game, where he retired the lone batter he faced on a three-pitch flyout to end the American League's 6-1 victory. Prior to turning pro, Bremner finished his collegiate career at UC Santa Barbara as the program's all-time strikeout leader with 295 strikeouts. Bremner is scheduled to make his Double-A debut on Saturday, August 8 against Birmingham at Toyota Field.
De Jesus, 21, was transferred to Double-A Rocket City from High-A Tri-City after batting .244 with 18 doubles, 19 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a .779 OPS in 94 games with the Dust Devils. The Bonao, Dominican Republic, native is tied for second in the Angels organization in home runs and second in RBIs at the time of his promotion while setting career highs in home runs, RBIs, doubles, and total bases. Signed by the Angels as an international free agent on January 15, 2022, De Jesus hit 12 home runs with 60 RBIs for Single-A Inland Empire in 2024. He batted .280 with eight home runs, 26 RBIs, and an .897 OPS during June before homering in two of his final four games with Tri-City.
Phillips, 26, was transferred to Double-A Rocket City from High-A Tri-City after posting a 3.47 ERA over 30 relief appearances with the Dust Devils. The Omaha native combined to go 6-1 with a 3.62 ERA and 76 strikeouts over 59.2 innings between Tri-City and Triple-A Salt Lake this season, converting two saves while limiting opponents to a .239 batting average. An eighth-round selection by the Angels in the 2022 MLB Draft out of Kansas State, Phillips returns to Rocket City after appearing in 14 games with the Trash Pandas during the 2023 and 2025 seasons.
Pinazzi, 26, was transferred to Double-A Rocket City from High-A Tri-City after pitching across three levels in the Angels organization this season. The Milan, Italy native has combined to go 5-1 with a 0.95 ERA in 35 relief appearances between Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, High-A Tri-City, and Triple-A Salt Lake, recording six saves and 79 strikeouts over 47.1 innings while holding opponents to a .212 batting average. Pinazzi signed with the Angels as a minor league free agent on December 15, 2025, after spending two seasons in independent baseball, and represented Team Italy at the 2023 World Baseball Classic. He becomes the second Italian-born player to suit up for the Trash Pandas, joining former left-hander Sam Aldegheri, who became the first pitcher born and raised in Italy to reach the Major Leagues. 3 World Baseball Classic and joins former Trash Pandas left-hander Sam Aldegheri as one of the few Italian-born players to suit up for Rocket City. Dunham, 28, signed with the Angels as a minor league free agent in December 2025 after spending his entire professional career in the Yankees organization. The left-handed hitting outfielder appeared in 41 games for Rocket City this season, hitting .210 with eight doubles, two home runs, 12 RBIs, and a .649 OPS. Dunham was briefly placed on the temporary inactive list from April 16-20 for the birth of his and his wife Kinley's second daughter, Josie Kate, and later hit his first home run since September 15, 2024, on May 22 against Chattanooga after returning from the Development List.
